Director, Hiratsuka Museum of Art. Natsuko Kusanagi has been director of Hiratsuka Museum of Art since April 2004. Prior to taking the directorship at the Hiratsuka, she had served as a lecturer at Gakushuin University, Keio University and Tokyo University of the Arts, as well as the chief curator at the Yamatane Museum of Art. She was graduated from Keio University in the faculty of Letters. Publications include Yukihiko Yasuda (Shueisha), Kaii Higashiyama (Kodansha), Togyu Okumura (Gakken), Gyokudo Kawai (Gakken). Exhibitions she curated include “Taikan Yokoyama,” “Shoen Uemura and Kiyokata Kaburagi,” “Gyosyu Hayami,” “Kyujin Yamamoto” at Hiratsuka Museum of Art and “Togyu Okumura,” “Shiko Imamura” at Yamatane Museum of Art among many others. She is also a trustee member at several institutions including The Japanese Council of Art Museums and the National Museum of Modern Art, Tokyo.
